At Sun World Cat Ba, visitors can admire the panoramic view of the "jewel" of the Gulf of Tonkin from the world's most modern cable car line, connecting the center of Cat Hai Island to Cat Ba town. The Cat Ba cable car offers visitors a new, extremely convenient mode of transportation, not only protecting the environment but also halving travel time compared to other means of transport.
In its initial phase, Sun World Cat Ba officially launched the Cat Hai – Phu Long three-wire cable car line, with a total length of 3,955m, a capacity of 4,500 passengers per hour, and 60 cabins with a capacity of 30 passengers each, aiming to quickly transport visitors from Cat Hai Island to the area near Cai Vieng pier on Cat Ba Island. Notably, the Cat Hai – Phu Long cable car line has a tower height of 214.8m, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "World's Tallest Cable Car Tower".
In addition, two cable car stations, Cat Hai Station and Phu Long Station, have been put into operation, out of a total of five stations in the project. Along with the new three-wire cable car line, Cat Hai Station and Phu Long Station, with their large area, modern design, and purely Vietnamese architectural style, reflect the spirit of the port city.
