Sun Group Aims to Boost Khanh Hoa’s Night-Time Economy with Charmora City
Sun Group Develops the Charmora City Entertainment–Service Urban Model, Aiming to Expand Khanh Hoa’s Night-Time Economy.
According to Khanh Hoa’s night-time economy development plan, during the 2023–2025 period, the province prioritizes optimizing existing night-time services while reviewing and identifying potential areas for organizing cultural, entertainment, culinary, and tourism activities.
Entering the 2026–2030 phase, the province aims to complete a comprehensive night-time economy model and attract investment into large-scale entertainment complexes, spatially separated from residential areas. This approach is intended to expand visitor-serving spaces and increase tourist spending.

The night-time economy model has been widely recognized across many Asian cities, generating significant value for the tourism sector. Clarke Quay (Singapore) generates more than SGD 1 billion in annual revenue through its continuously operating network of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Similarly, OCT Bay (Shenzhen, China) has become a major visitor magnet thanks to its multimedia performances and 24-hour commercial and entertainment offerings.
In the same vein, Khanh Hoa is widely regarded as possessing strong advantages for night-time economy development, including coastal and riverfront landscapes, a mild climate, a large volume of international visitors, and a rich local culture. According to Sun Group, following the initial phase of developing activities such as night markets, culinary streets, and open-air art performance spaces, Khanh Hoa’s night-time economy is now entering a more breakthrough phase in terms of scale and ambition. Within this trajectory, Nha Trang continues to play a strategic role.

In Nam Nha Trang, Sun Group is investing over VND 17 trillion to develop Charmora City, a 227-hectare urban complex envisioned as a 24-hour entertainment city. Surrounded by the Quan Truong River and the Tac River, the project leverages its riverfront landscape to develop night-time commercial and entertainment activities.
The developer noted that the project draws on operational experience from established destinations in Phu Quoc and Da Nang to build a distinctive entertainment ecosystem.
“Sunset Town with shows such as Awaken Sea and Symphony of the Sea in Phu Quoc, as well as the festival and performance spaces at Ba Na Hills (Da Nang), serve as reference models for the development orientation of Charmora City,” a Sun Group representative shared.

The project is expected to integrate riverfront parks, onsen parks, yacht marinas, and large-scale water-based art performances enhanced with lighting effects and fireworks, alongside floating markets and the VuiFest night market. Together, these components aim to form a continuous entertainment cycle operating 24 hours a day.
Charmora City also adopts the sponge city model, enhancing water absorption and retention through an interconnected system of rivers, lakes, parks, and permeable road surfaces. Vegetation cultivated and sustained by this water network forms a green ecological buffer, supporting the vision of a sustainable, eco-oriented urban environment.

Charmora City is expected to bring a new dimension to Khanh Hoa’s night-time economy by integrating entertainment and tourism activities into a comprehensive, mixed-use urban model.
“For many years, Nha Trang has primarily focused on its coastal strip, while river-adjacent areas still offer substantial room for development. These spaces present strong potential for large-scale night-time service complexes such as Charmora City,” a Sun Group representative noted.
