Sun Group develops seafront commercial streets in Cat Ba
The Hy Ward and Tai Ward precincts at Xanh Island Central Bay City, Cat Ba, developed by Sun Group, are inspired by world-famous seaside boulevards.
Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, Florida (USA), featured in many Hollywood films, is among the world’s most vibrant streets, where visitors can relax on white sandy beaches, sunbathe and enjoy a festive atmosphere all year round. Meanwhile, the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France, attracts elite travelers with its historic buildings, luxury hotels and high-end fashion boutiques.
What these iconic streets share is the perfect combination of prime location, signature architecture and a world-class ecosystem of tourism, entertainment and resort services.
Drawing inspiration from prosperous global commercial streets while incorporating elements from traditional craft villages that reflect Cat Ba’s maritime heritage, Sun Group is developing seven low-rise precincts within Xanh Island Central Bay City, each featuring its own distinctive architectural identity. Among them, Hy Ward and Tai Ward, located right next to Ladies Beach, are shaped as dynamic seaside commercial streets with strong business potential.

Inspired by the charm of Ocean Drive (Miami), Tai Ward stands out with its dominant yellow palette and diagonal decorative motifs — symbols of prosperity in Art Deco design language.
The signature yellow tone is regarded as a symbol of wealth, fortune and business success. The combination of vibrant colors with architectural details inspired by bustling commercial hubs around the world creates a design language that subtly conveys the image of a district for affluent communities.

Meanwhile, Hy Ward is dressed in vibrant red — a symbol of good luck, celebration and positive energy. Thanks to its proximity to Ladies Beach and the VUI-Fest Night Market, this area is set to become the focal point for entertainment activities, festivals and cultural events day and night.
According to the developer, 100% of the townhouses feature multifunctional basements, adding extra usable space and enhancing operational flexibility. Seafront units are designed with three storeys, gradually increasing toward the project’s center to four and five storeys. This terraced layout not only optimizes views for each property but also ensures overall architectural harmony. Natural materials are widely used to create living spaces that blend seamlessly with nature.

Representatives from the design unit shared that the townhouses maximize open spaces and follow the natural terrain in line with the feng shui concept of “mountains at the back, water at the front.” Each house features an individual design layout, aiming to personalize the owner’s living and business experience.
Beyond their prime location, the comprehensive ecosystem of resort, shopping and dining amenities is another major advantage. Situated at the heart of Xanh Island, Hy Ward and Tai Ward enjoy full access to the entire ecosystem, including five themed parks, a marina, landscaped waterways, beaches, high-rise residential towers, a commercial center and a future cable car station.

Here, visitors can swim at the beach, enjoy dining at The Forest Beach Club and The Sea Beach Club, and watch the spectacular show “Symphony of the Green Island”, which has achieved two Guinness World Records. Hy Ward and Tai Ward are also ideal for affluent residents who favor vibrant lifestyles filled with entertainment, festivals and nightlife.
The project further integrates a well-planned transportation system, including cable cars, electric buses and buggies, as well as high-speed ferries connecting Hai Phong – Cat Ba – Ha Long.
With the perfect blend of signature architecture and a world-class amenity ecosystem, Hy Ward and Tai Ward are expected to become new symbols of prosperity in Cat Ba, attracting affluent communities and investors seeking long-term business opportunities and sustainable living values.
