Sun World Ba Den Mountain

Tay Ninh

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

As one of Vietnam's sacred sites, Ba Den Mountain is associated with the legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva – a spiritual symbol in Southern Vietnam.

Midway up the mountain, the Ba Den temple complex houses five shrines dedicated to Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva, becoming a strong spiritual anchor for people in Southern Vietnam to entrust their wishes for health, wealth, and good fortune. The complex includes: Long Chau Phuoc Trung Temple, Linh Son Tien Thach Tu with the adjacent Ba Den Shrine, Hoa Dong Temple, Hang Temple, and Quan Am Temple.

From the Ba Den temple area, it only takes 5 minutes by cable car to reach the summit – known as the "foremost heavenly mountain" with its majestic and poetic scenery. Amidst the vast, cloud-covered mountain peak, the tallest bronze statue of the Goddess of the West, Ba Den, stands majestically with a benevolent face, her left hand holding a vase of nectar symbolizing the bestowal of blessings, and her right hand raised in the Dharma-teaching gesture, symbolizing the protection and guidance of all beings.

The mountaintop is also home to the Maitreya Bodhisattva statue, assembled from 6,688 sandstone blocks inspired by terraced rice fields. As the world's largest sandstone Buddha statue, the Maitreya Bodhisattva, with his compassionate eyes and joyful smile, symbolizes generosity, forgiveness, and happiness atop the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam.
