The Vinh Hung Urban renovation, improvement and redevelopment project is being implemented to realize the Hanoi People's Committee's policy of restructuring the central area in line with a sustainable, green development model. Priority in land allocation is given to public spaces, parks, greenery, water bodies, and transport infrastructure. The redeveloped areas will be closely integrated with the urban rail network and multi-functional underground spaces—following the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model—to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance the quality of life.
Guided by this policy, the project envisions transforming Vinh Hung into a green, smart, civilized, and livable urban area based on three pillars: integrating urban development with green areas; linking public transport with pedestrian-friendly spaces; and creating numerous sustainable, permeable green spaces.
